About Rich Draper

The Full Story

Growing up in Canada in the wilds outside of Toronto, Rich discovered at an early age he liked to draw…and draw cartoons. It could have been all the Bugs Bunny or seeing Donald Duck in Mathmagic Land in the 5th grade, but animation always seemed like a great way to make a living. Luckily Sheridan College with their top animation program was nearby and after graduating (and winning the Kodak Canada award for his third year film,) he has never looked back.

That was over 25 years ago now, and since then Rich has worked on everything from commercials to features, and everything inbetween. After stints in Toronto, New York and LA, Rich has lived in Atlanta since 2001. He has been busy directing and animating commercials, promos and corporate videos as well as doing storyboards for live action commercials. He was also the head of story for "An Elf's Story", an animated Christmas special based on Elf on a Shelf and has been a storyboard artist on the following three specials (one of which is still in production.)

He now lives in the wilds just outside of Atlanta with his lovely wife, two daughters and a very large sheepdog.
